South East Queensland

Patrons attending the Luke Combs concerts in Brisbane won't need a Fast Car to make it to the show on time with free public transport and additional services available for each event.

The award-winning US singer-songwriter will play two shows at Suncorp Stadium on Friday 24 and Saturday 25 January as part of his return tour to Australia and New Zealand.

Free public transport will be just One number away for fans, with the inclusion of all Brisbane City Council bus routes and South East Queensland train services (excluding Airtrain and long distance services) from midday through to the last service of the day.

Dedicated shuttle buses will run to and from Suncorp Stadium to support each show, with services from Brisbane City (Ann Street), Carindale, Chermside, Eight Mile Plains/Upper Mount Gravatt and The Gap.

Additional trains will run from Roma Street and Milton stations after the concerts.

With large crowds expected at the two sold-out performances, concert-goers are urged to leave their cars and the stress of finding a park behind.

Even if a friend is travelling On the Other Line, public transport will be the best way to get to and from the event.

Patrons are encouraged to plan their journey in advance, so they get to the venue with plenty of time.

Quotes attributable to Head of Translink Dr Deborah Hume:

"Our message is to leave the car at home and catch public transport because we'll have plenty of trains and dedicated shuttle buses available.

“These concerts are sold out and large crowds will be in attendance, so why not take the hassle out of your travel and let us do the driving.

“If you are heading to the concert, please have patience as we work to move crowds as quickly and safely as possible following each event.

“We encourage customers to plan their travel in advance by using the Translink app, visiting the Translink website or by calling 13 12 30.”
