From Monday 22 January 2024 until late-2024, Burpengary station will close for a major station accessibility upgrade.
This means Caboolture and Sunshine Coast line services will not stop at Burpengary for the duration of the works.
While the station is closed, alternative transport options will be available; including the new route 661 - Narangba to Burpengary service.

Key upgrade features
- A new footbridge with lift access Improved accessible parking
- Full length high-level platforms
- Upgraded hearing augmentation loops and tactile ground surface indicators
- Upgraded security cameras and lighting
- New wayfinding and platform signage
- Accessible toilets
- Disability-compliant ticket windows
- Improved seating and extended platform shelters
- New station office and facilities.
Alternative travel options
The new route 661 service will run between Narangba station and Burpengary station.
This is a temporary service running for the duration of the Burpengary station closure.
Timetables
Route 661 will run approximately every 10-15 minutes in peak hours (6am to 9am, and 4pm to 6pm on weekdays).
Outside of peak hour, the service frequency will match the Caboolture line schedule at Narangba station.

If you normally park at Burpengary station, consider using nearby Narangba or Morayfield stations instead.
Both stations are serviced by Caboolture and Sunshine Coast line services.
Travelling with a bike? Unfortunately bikes and personal mobility devices are not allowed onboard bus services, including the 661.
